Существительное reason окружено предлогом for. Но не только. Много других бесПРИЧИНных с точки зрения русского языка деталей.

55.1.1. “По причине” переводится как “for a / the reason”.

FOR REASON FOR: ИНФИНИТИВ НЕЛЬЗЯ.

55.1.2.1. Инфинитив после reason применять не рекомендуется, лучше герундий с предлогом for.

Нельзя:

There are definitely more reasons to learn a new language and discovering a new culture.

Нельзя:

Yes, you don’t have to remind me that there was a reason not to speak to me.

Можно:

There are definitely more reasons for learning a new language and discovering a new culture.

Есть еще и много других причин учить новый язык и к открывать культуру.

Yes, you don’t have to remind me that there was a reason for not speaking to me.

Тебе не нужно напоминать мне, что была причина не разговаривать со мной.

FOR REASON FOR: WHY ПЛЮС ПРЕДЛОЖЕНИЕ.

55.2. После reason может использоваться придаточное предложение, которое соединяется при помощи союза why.

There are two reasons why learning to play the piano is worth your while.

Есть две причины, по которым вам стоит научиться играть на пианино.

Here are six reasons why the stalemate might soon end.

Вот шесть причин, почему безвыходное положение может в скором времени закончится.

55.2.1. Для того, чтобы связать придаточное предложение с reason союз for which вместо why применяться не может.

Нельзя:

Here are six reasons for which the stalemate might soon end.

Вот шесть причин, по которым тупиковая ситуация может скоро закончиться.

БЕЗ СОЮЗА.

55.2.2. В разговорном стиле why может опускаться, и придаточное предложение связывается с reason бессоюзным способом.

I don’t want to be the reason she doesn’t get to go somewhere cool on our honeymoon.

Я не хочу быть причиной того, что она не сделает что-то классное в наш медовый месяц.

You are the reason she doesn’t want to work here!

Ты и есть причина, по которой она не хочет работать здесь работать!

BECAUSE НЕЛЬЗЯ.

55.2.3. Because в качестве союза, связывающего придаточное предложение с reason, использоваться не может.

Нельзя:
